2nd Shift Voice Picking Lead

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform team lead functions that may include, but not limited to:

  • ALL LEADS
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld devices (RF)
  • Arranging transportation of products
  • Separate and distribute work to the team
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, use of calculator helpful
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and communicate in a timely fashion
  • Communicate and interact with manager to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications
  • Provide direction and leadership to associates in accordance with established policies and procedures while focusing efforts to maximize productivity and safety
  • Actively promote an environment and culture focused on customer service, safety diversity and teamwork
  • Ensure warehouse is clean at end of shift and maintain good housekeeping
  • Follow and train associates on proper lifting techniques
  • Ensure associates are cross-trained to provide adequate coverage in key process
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • IF SHIPPING
  • Provide proper use of RoboPac wrapping machine and Intelligrated conveyor system and proper stacking
  • Ensure all shipments are confirmed when loaded
  • Examine contents and compare with records, or orders, to verify accuracy of outgoing shipment
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
  • IF PICKING
  • Ensure all products are picked properly

Director of Transportation

The Transportation Director develops business tools and solutions for Five Below’s Transportation function in an effort to improve the store delivery process through the following areas: Inbound, Outbound and Imports.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience within a Supply Chain capacity specifically Distribution and/or Transportation
  • Experience in capacity planning and analysis
  • BA/BS preferred
  • Proven competencies in Microsoft Office products specifically MS Excel.
  • Working knowledge of a Warehouse Management and/or Retail Allocations systems is a plus
  • Proven experience in maintaining quality, service and client relationships
  • Ability to work in a team oriented, multi-shift environment
  • Excellent communication and organization skills required
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25%

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage store deliveries process from Distribution Centers to appropriate store locations across chain
  • Internal communication with Distribution Supervisors to ensure loads are completed and dispatched in a timely manner
  • Coordinate logistics to ensure carriers execute delivery
  • Issue resolution with Field management staff in an effort to minimize discrepancies
  • Manage capacity analysis and volume planning
  • Conduct billing and transportation cost analysis
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining client relations
  • Identification, negotiation and selection of new service providers
  • Proactively identify process improvements to ensure effective on-time delivery
  • Manage off-site logistics providers

Maintenance Facilities Manager

Qualifications

  • 5 years + of work experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Must have the ability to work on strategic plans for long term growth and processes
  • Must have the ability to develop and successfully lead a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external customers
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of battery-powered, material-handling equipment and basic sortation systems.
  • Must have knowledge of basic electrical and electronic principles, modern practices, materials, and tools used in the trade
  • Must have experience exercising safe practices relative to low-voltage electrical systems and mechanical equipment
  • Must have the ability to operate grinders, drill presses, air compressors, hoists, cranes, parts cleaning equipment, and modern test equipment
  • Must be able to perform heavy lifting, minimum of 20 lbs
  • Maintain a clean & orderly work environment
  • Ability to work in exposed temperatures (cold in winter and hot in summer)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with vendors and suppliers in negotiating pricing for equipment and services
  • Provide recommended capital and operating budgets
  • Perform responsibilities within established budgets
  • Troubleshoot, monitor and repair conveyor controls and systems
  • Lubricate and perform preventive maintenance on forklift equipment
  • Trouble Shoot and repair electrical systems on forklifts
  • Maintain electric charging equipment and makes minor repairs
  • Change, charge and water batteries as required
  • Remove and replace electric motors; adjust bearings and replaces brushes
  • Conduct other troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service (scheduled, unscheduled) on plumbing, electrical and other mechanical related devices
  • Consult with vendors to ensure satisfactory service levels and fair pricing
  • Make recommendations for improving operation and solving maintenance related problems
  • Working with automated controls; photo eyes, switches-limit, pressure, temperature, or flow, pneumatic solenoids and cylinders, Panel View parameters. Use of PLC's.
  • May be required to lead others in accomplishing tasks
  • May be responsible for managing maintenance activities in multiple locations
  • Additional ad hoc tasks may be assigned per management discretion
Shipping Lead

Lead the daily operations of the Shipping Department to ensure accurate and timely shipping processes of all orders with maximum efficiency. Provide coaching assistance to the shipping team members while maintaining all company policies and procedures.
