Five Below in the Community
With the support of our generous customers, Five Below is proud to have raised over $1 million for charities with missions focusing on childhood well-being.
Since 2005, we have partnered with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation through the sale of lemonade bracelets, silly bands, gift cards and pin-ups resulting in over $300,000 in donations to the organization. Their mission is simple: to raise money for and awareness of childhood cancer causes—especially research into new treatments and cures—and to encourage and empower others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer. This May we are again doing a pin-up campaign with all 250+ stores participating and hope to raise over $250,000 for the worthy life-saving organization!
For the last 5 years, Five Below has participated in the annual Halloween Promotion benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® to help fight childhood cancer. Our fall fundraisers have generated over $900,000 for the hospital. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
As a result of the damage in the Mid-Atlantic region of Hurricane Sandy, affecting many of our Associates and customers, we partnered with the American Red Cross and collected 50,000 $1 donations from customers in our stores. Five Below matched this donation dollar for dollar, bringing the grand total of funds raised to over $100,000.
We also partner with local non-profits in our FUNraiser program. For more information, click here.
